Review: Grown Alchemist Balancing Toner

Grown Alchemist Balancing Toner

A gentle, invigorating alcohol-free toner, perfect for soothing the skin and giving an instant lift and radiant glow. Grown Alchemist Balancing Toner is a gentle, invigorating alcohol-free toner, perfect for soothing the skin and giving an instant lift and radiant glow. It delicately removes any residue from cleansing to prepare the skin for moisturising, leaving the face soft and clean, balancing the skin, refining facial pores and evening out skin tone without stripping the skin.

I’m really into using toner in the mornings instead of cleansing at the moment. It’s much easier and it means I’m not over cleansing my skin. I like to choose products that can clean the skin, tone, and also add some nutrients back into the skin. I purchased this Grown Alchemist Balancing Toner because it was an affordable option that contains calming ingredients such as aloe vera and chamomile, and I’m all about reducing skin inflammation, as well as vitamin C to give antioxidant protection against free radicals. I like this in the mornings because it doesn’t contain exfoliating acids and I prefer to leave the exfoliation for the evenings when I’m not heading out in the sun.

This product has cool packaging. I like the box and the way the black font contrasts the white box. The bottle is tinted brown to keep the product fresh for longer. However, the bottle is plastic and would be better if it was glass.

This toner is so easy to use and lasts quite a while. It is my first product that I had tried from the brand and even though it says it has skin benefits, I haven’t noticed that as much as I have with other toners (like Ere Perez Face Tonic). I have found that this toner doesn’t feel much different to wiping water on a cotton pad across the skin which is fine if that’s what you like. It has a slight antiseptic scent which doesn’t bother me.

This product definitely makes my skin feel clean after using. It helps remove impurities and fuzz after sleeping before applying skincare. It doesn’t irritate my skin or my eyes and also doesn’t break me out. However, I don’t notice any benefit from using this product. It’s very subtle and I personally wouldn’t repurchase as I think there are better options available.

I would love to know your thoughts. Have you tried this? What do you think?
