I love Pai. I’m such a huge fan of their BioRegenerate Rosehip Oil that I had to try their Rosehip Cleansing Oil too. On a recent podcast episode I was listening too (The Skinny Confidential with guest Georgia Louise) the host and the guest spoke about the best step by step skincare routine to take care of the skin. This started with an Oil Cleanser followed by a Cleansing milk. It’s a double cleanse technique that hydrates and cleans the skin but doesn’t strip it. It creates a clean but moisturised barrier to apply everything on top of. So, once I heard this I had buy this new launch from Pai. I also bought the Marara Cleansing Milk for the second cleanser.

How I like to use this oil cleanser changes but right now I like to use it after using the Indie Lee Brightening Cleanser if I feel like my skin need a real clean after being in London all day. Or, if it’s in a morning I’ll just use the Pai cleansing oil straight onto clean skin and massage it in whilst massaging my face.

The texture of this product is very smooth, as you would’ve guessed. It feels like a very lightweight oil that moves over the skin so easily. It really feels gentle and beneficial on the skin when you rub it in and it doesn’t feel thick or like it’s sticking to the skin. When washed off, with either just water or a wash cloth, the skin doesn’t have an oily residue left on. If I haven’t been wearing make-up I don’t even feel the need to double cleanse. But, if I am wearing make-up this is a very gentle and effective way to remove it. Although, I don’t wear mascara or heavy eye make-up very often so I can’t say if it removes eye make-up easily but I imagine it would. the scent is very subtle and floral.

As mentioned, on the skin it feels smooth but when washed off it comes off like a cleanser would. It makes the skin feel cleans whilst helping it lock in the moisture. I have acne prone skin and find that this doesn’t irritate it or break me out at all. It also doesn’t clog the pores. I love using this as it helps the skin feel hydrated whilst cleansing and it gives me a chance to get in a facial massage before I’ve applied any serums, moisturiser or oils. I highly recommend. It lasts for ages too.
