Review: Madara Brightening AHA Peel Mask

Madara Brightening AHA Peel Mask

A peeling mask to remove dead skin cells, gently exfoliate and leave bright, radiant and smoothed skin with diminished age-spots and lines.

Madara, Naturisim

This is a very underrated face mask. I bought this when browsing the web for a AHA peel mask that was affordable and I came across this guy for £24.00. That’s such a good price if you ask me. Other exfoliating masks within the natural world are in the £60+ price range, and probably rightly so, but I would say this is a great find if you’re looking for something in the £20 range. If so, you’ve come to the right place.

I love this mask because it’s clear. This makes it so easy to wear as it’s practically undetectable to others. I don’t mind being around people with a scary face mask on, but this one stops them from asking why your face is yellow. (Duh, the Cocokind Turmeric mask?!

As well as the great price, this product works. It removes the top layer of skin leaving your lean, exfoliated, smooth and glowy. With consistent use I also saw my acne scabs break down, reduced redness of scarring, and overall a smoother complexion. I will say this mask isn’t going to de-congest the skin from black heads. It removes the top layer making the skin smooth but still leaves the black heads hanging around. I’m trying out a clay mask for the decongestion.

This product is a white gel consistency but it goes onto the skin clear. It dries white in areas and that’s where you can peel the mask off as, after all, this is a “peel.” However, I prefer to remove with water. It smells like a spa mixed with citrus and just a touch of chemical. It leaves the skin feeling clean and smooth and it doesn’t irritate the skin. It makes my skin tingle when first applied as it is an acid, but this is on the warning.

Overall, I really like this mask. It’s affordable and it works. If you’re looking for something different and don’t mind spending a bit more, try the Juice Beauty Fruit Peel Mask. I think that one does more in terms of decongesting and really brightening the skin.
