Juice Beauty SPF 30 Oil-Free Moisturiser
A lightweight, zinc broad spectrum SPF 30 moisturiser to hydrate, protect and maintain your skin’s natural moisture balance, whilst also working to help clear blemishes.
Juice Beauty oh how I love thee. Ever since using the Blemish Clearing Kit and falling in love with a handful of products, I’ve kept the brand in constant rotation. Most recently, I’ve been using this Oil-Free SPF Moisturiser. I’ve tried the Oil-Free Moisturiser without SPF and love that too, but I wanted to minimise my daily skincare which is why I chose a moisturiser with SPF. Daily steps decreased by half! Anyway, I do really like this product. There’s something about Zinc Oxide in SPF that I think just really helps acne prone skin. However, the whiteness of this product is what is not ideal an may put other users off even though it shouldn’t. To find out why I love this product, keep reading.
This product is great but as mentioned above it is very white. It takes some rubbing in and perseverance to get rid of the white cast after application and whatever you do: do not apply this in low lightening. It happened to me. That being said, there is something my skin really loves about this product and other Zinc Oxide based SPF that may be whiter than most. I’ve tried SPF that is both natural and doesn’t leave any white colour on the skin (enter Cooola which was also great) but I did find it blocked my pores. I find the thicker texture takes real care to be rubbed in properly and the oil-free ingredients means my skin isn’t drowning in a thick heavy and sticky mess. But I do like oils on my skin when the time is right they are amazing.
I love this product because I feel like it carefully dries out my breakouts but I could be making that up. What I do find, is that it doesn’t leave a residue on the skin, doesn’t make my face sticky, doesn’t make me sweat and it sinks into the skin. The fact it sinks in means it’s a great base for applying make-up over the top of and I will say: if you’re wearing make-up, the white will definitely not be visible.
In terms of scent, his stuff is very fresh. Think cucumbers and oranges in a glass of mineral iced water during the summer. I really love it. All Juice Beauty products smells great actually. This bottle also lasts for ages. I think I’ve had mine 3 months and it’s only just running low.
Guys, if you’re looking for an SPF moisturiser I love this stuff. If you have struggled with breakouts from SPF, I recommend this. If you are switching to clean skincare, maybe try the Coola one first as it applies like conventional and the white of this product can turn people away from natural SPF. If you’re acne prone, try this. If you’re just looking for a daily moisturiser, try the one without SPF linked here and review linked here. Let me know your thoughts!
