Tata Harper Clarifying Cleanser
“A foaming gel cleanser for blemish-prone and oily skin that targets impurities to give you a deep-clean feel and a comfortably matte finish, without drying your skin. The cooling formula restores clarity to reduce the look of blemishes, balance oil and soothe redness.”
Tata Harper is a brand that I always always lust over. Aesthetically pleasing? Yes. Luxurious? Yes. Quality product? Yes. Natural? Organic? Active ingredients? Yes, yes and yes. Whether on instagram, online, or whilst walking past my local Space NK; Tata Harper is a stand out product in both the natural and conventional beauty space. There’s just something about the green and glass packaging that makes me want to display it like a trophy on a shelf or in a bathroom cabinet. Over the last few months I’ve been using this Clarifying Cleanser as I’d heard i was great for acne prone skin; I can now confirm this product not only looks amazing, but performs exceptionally well too. This is along with the great smell, the spa feeling experience it brings, and how long the product last. For £59.00 though? Totally worth it. A definite re-buy for me. Keep reading to find out why.
This product is a cleanser, so the obvious way to use it is to apply it to the face and wash off. For this, the face needs to be dry. However, because this product feels so luxurious to me it really makes me take a lot of care with my skincare. It makes the process into a self care ritual rather than a step that needs to be taken. I was even leaving it on my face for 10-15 so my skin got all of the active ingredients benefits, but I then switched to a peeling AHA mask for this as my face needed some real de-congesting.
This product has a great scent that is very fresh. It has a citrus yet minty scent that is very cool on the skin when applied. When applying this, it isn’t the easier to move around the face as it needs to be applied to dry skin. I find this adds to the experience of self care and really being mindful with skincare steps and gentle when touching the skin.
If you’re wanting to use this as a make-up remover, it definitely works for that. It lathers nicely and feels like it removes make-up properly. I do feel like this is a waste of the great ingredients going directly onto the skin, so I use this as a second cleanse instead. It is definitely clarifying and removes dead skin cells gently and leaves the skin glowing. Definitely recommend for acne prone skin as it doesn’t irritate any areas and it doesn’t strip the skin either. My face feels very clean yet nourished after washing with this product.
