Review: Antipodes Kiwi Seed Oil Eye Cream

Antipodes Eye Cream

“A luscious yet light eye cream to stimulate collagen production and reduce the appearance of lines in all skin types, even sensitive.”

This eye cream is the first product by this brand that I have tried. I’ve seen the brand popping up over social media, so I added this eye cream to my Shopr wishlist a few weeks before purchasing. I bought it when it went into discount on the Naturisimo website, so that was a winner for me. Especially because I now love this product a lot, and it comes with 30ml of product which is twice as much as other eye creams I’ve tried. Luckily, this stuff works.

Product Review

I have been so pleasantly surprised and impressed by everything to do with this product. It performs, it doesn’t irritate me and the packaging is luxurious; that’s not even mentioning the natural ingredients and the very reasonable price tag. My skin is sensitive, so not being irritated is big for me. I say this around natural products as some essential oils can cause skin irritations I’ve discovered. The scent of this eye cream is almost non existent; other than a tiny fruity hint, more of an undertone, from what I’m guessing is grapeseed extract.

The texture is a light yet creamy, and almost has a slight hint of a gel feel. It rubs easily into the skin and quickly disappears as it soaks in, but still leaves a protective moisturising barrier than make-up sits nicely on top of. However, a residue isn’t left over and the product soaks in extremely quickly. It moves easily around the eye area, and is a real pleasure to use.

On the skin the product feels cooling, which would be amplified if you place this in the fridge before using. As mentioned, it soaks quickly into the skin leaving the eyes looking and feeling more awake. I definitely feel like this product has helped me in appearing less tired, and looking more awake. My under eyes appear plumper, this could be from the collagen in the product, and my skin feels moisturised. Even when crying with this product on my eyes don’t start to sting. I love it.

This is definitely my favourite eye cream that I have ever tried, and I highly recommend it. The packaging is also so luxurious with the brown glass jar. The lid is a heavy duty plastic, and the whole product feels very fancy to use.
