Natural Handbag Essentials

I love natural products. The more obsessed with natural products that I got, the more products I found myself wanting to bring around with me all day. It started with just a deodorant and a lip balm for obvious reasons. I have to have lip balm with me at all times, and when I started out using natural deodorant I liked to carry it with me for re-application purposes. I find I don’t reapply the Schmidt’s one when in UK average temperatures, but I like it with me anyway. To read what else I carry, keep reading.

Schmidt’s Natural Deodorant

“This 100% natural and certified vegan deodorant provides effective protection against odour whilst the subtle warm, woody scent helps you feel more grounded.”

I love this stuff. I’ve tried every scent at this point, and my favourites are both Bergamot & Lime, and Cedar wood & Juniper. These are described at male scents, but they are definitely unisex. I think all of them are, but some people think floral scents are more feminine. As mentioned above, I carry this with me incase I need to reapply it throughout the day. It also helps me know where it is to be honest. I keep a different or another deodorant in my beauty stash too. My favourite deodorant is Schmidt’s. Try it. Review here.

Weleda Skin Food

“Dry, rough skin of any age gets indulgent moisture with this intensively nourishing, deeply hydrating cream. A celebrity favourite.”

This is the perfect handbag moisturising balm. It’s good for hands, elbows, other dry areas, and even the face. IF my skin feels tight when I’m out and about I just rub this on it. IT is quite thick, heavy and a bit sticky, but I definitely feel protected when I have this on. It can be used on the lips too. Review here.

Dr Bronner’s Lavender Hand Sanitizer

“Dr Bronner’s Lavender Organic Hand Sanitizer contains none of the nasty chemicals you find in conventional sanitisers, but is just as effective. This Organic Hand Sanitiser is perfect for using on the go, on your little ones’ sticky hands and faces, even as an air freshener or deodorant. Sanitise with a clean conscience.”

I didn’t carry hand sanitizer around with me for a while after finding out how toxic conventional stuff is, but this one is amazing. It’s a spray liquid which dries almost instantly and smells amazing like lavender. I carry it round to kill germs, and it can be used as a deodorant too. I also spray it onto a cotton pad to clean my phone. Can also be used as a room spray, or on the face to kill bacteria.

Lip Balm

“An ultra-hydrating 100% natural lip conditioner with rich Kokum, Shea, and Cocoa Butters to offer 4 hours of clinically proven long-lasting moisturisation. – Burt’s Bees.”

I always have a lip balm with me, and usually only carry one. Right now I’m switching between Burt’s Bees and Glossier Balm Dot Com. I prefer to Balm Dot Com as it lasts longer on the lips, and is multi-use. I use it on the back of my hands when they are dry, as well as for a high lighter. The Burt’s Bees ones are okay, but don’t last very long. Other ones I like are Hurraw and Crazy Rumours.

Doterra Peppermint Essential Oil

“The high menthol content of the doTERRA Peppermint essential oil sets it apart from others when it comes to quality—making it one of the best-selling favorites among doTERRA essential oils.”

I love peppermint essential oil for a few reasons. It’s so good for freshening breath. I hate chewing gum and breath mints, and using this essential oil is such an easy alternative that freshens breath for much longer than chewing gum. To me, the taste and scent of stale chewing gum is absolutely gross. So peppermint essential oil is the way to go. It’s also great for a mid day pick me up. I put some under my nose, or into my hands and sniff and it is a natural way to wake up during a mid-afternoon slump.

Tisserand De-Stress Oil Blend

“A 100% natural aromatherapy fragrance in a convenient roll on ideal for frazzled moments when calm is needed.”

This essential oil roller ball is described as a de-stress oil blend. I disagree. I like lavender for relaxation and de-stressing, or woody scents. This isn’t either but it is very subtle. I like it as a subtle perfume on my wrists when needed. I don’t use this very often to be honest, and I wouldn’t repurchase.
