Review: Green People Rejuvenating Eye Cream

Green People Rejuvenating Eye Cream

“A nourishing night treatment eye cream for dry, sensitive skin, particularly suited as a night treatment as it is rich in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.

“A soothing anti-ageing eye cream to reduce wrinkles and nourish delicate skin.”

Green People is one of the first natural brands that I used when moving towards Green Beauty. Mainly because the brand name is so clear with what it is about, but also because the brand is quite popular in the green space. I love how the products come in such minimal packaging with just the logo and the product writing. It’s perfect for my blog and social media aesthetic, but that’s not all I think about. The product are high quality, simple, and perform great. I’ve written previously about products I like from the brand, which I will link here and here.

Product Review

The Green People products have a distinct smell that I relate to the brand; if you use their product you’ll probably know what I mean. This product has a light scent, which I was glad about since it’s going around the eyes and they can be sensitive. From reading the ingredients list you can tell their is some floral ingredients in there including: Rosemary Leaf, Everlasting Flower and Rose Geranium Oil, so its not surprising the scent is lightly floral. So light in fact that it isn’t noticeable once on the skin. That’s one thing I like about natural product; the very subtle and not overpowering scents.

The texture is as expected and a light cream formula. As water is the first ingredient, the product is very light and soaks into the skin quickly. I like how it soaks in quickly but it is moisturising enough to still feel smooth on the skin and not completely disappear once applied. It isn’t an oily product, and is a very thin cream. To be honest, this product isn’t overly moisturising and is good for the summer when skin isn’t as dry.

On the skin after applied the product soaks in as mentioned above, but there is a slight residue left on the skin. I don’t mind this, and I imagine make-up would apply nicely over this too. However, my under-eyes do still feel tight and a bit dry after using this. I don’t feel like the moisturising ingredients penetrate the skin very well, so my under-eyes feel dehydrated. Personally, I think I need something heavier as my skin is very dehydrated right now. I do love that my eyes aren’t irritated from this product, and it would be good for sensitive skin.

This product is labelled as rejuvenating which I would agree with. It is suggested as a night treatment which I do like it as, but not so much in the day. Sometimes I feel like I need stronger products in the day even though they absorb during the night. It is also said to be anti-ageing which I don’t agree with. I’m only 22 so I’m not using anti-ageing products just yet, but I do have some tiny lines around my eyes. I’m not trying to fill them in, but I don’t think this product has done that anyway. However, moisturised under-eyes always look younger, but I also feel like it’s such a privilege to age so I’m not scared of ageing just yet.

I love the packaging of this product as it is so hygienic. I use the tube to apply the product directly under my eyes. This doesn’t involve dipping fingers into a pot and spreading germs. I do think that there isn’t a lot of product included in the product, and I do usually squirt too much out the tube but that’s my fault. Overall I do like this product as it’s great for sensitive skin and it’s hygienic. However, my skin is very tight and dehydrated right now so it isn’t moisturising enough, and I need something stronger. Highly recommend for young skin.
