Review: Beauty Kitchen Inspire Me Body Wash

“Awaken your senses with this uplifting, rejuvenating, firming body wash, made with renewable, moisturising and skin purifying algae oil. Anti-oxidant and Vitamin C loaded grapefruit blends with lemongrass to help firm and brighten your skin.”

I’m going to go as far as saying that this is the best body wash that I have ever used, and the fact that it is vegan, all natural and cruelty free just adds to my joy of trying this product. To add to the amazing qualities that this product possesses, I will also include the decorative yellow packaging, but more importantly, the scent. I am obsessed with the scent of this product. To find out everything else I like about it, just keep reading.

The main ingredient in this body wash is algae oil, and it’s written pretty clearly on the bottle. Along with what this product is scented with: lemongrass, spearmint and grapefruit. Unlike many body washes, this product doesn’t include SLS or SLES. Instead, that is what the algae oil is used for. Algae oil has a skin purifying effect and is a renewable natural ingredient. Other ingredients include: Water, potassium oleate, potassium cocoate, glygerine, potassium citrate, citric acid, Orange Sweet, Lemongrass, Litsea Maychange, Spearmint, BAsil, GRapefruit, Sweet Fennel, Mandarin Red, Peppermint scents, limonene, linalool, citral, citronellol, eugenol, geraniol. (Natural essential oils and vegetable derived ingredients.)

This product has a citrus scent that isn’t mild, but also isn’t over powering. It doesn’t smell artificial  or strong, it smells natural and like lemon grass. However, it doesn’t smell like toilet cleaner. The Peppermint and Spearmint essential oils add to the freshness of the scent, and everything about it makes the product smell super fresh and perfect for cleaning with.

The formula of this product is typical to any other shower gel, but less runny and more of a gel texture. The colour is yellow tinted and a little goes a very long way. It is very easy to move around the skin when it is damp, yet doesn’t lather up into a foam like some shower gels. I also find that it takes a bit longer to rinse off, but after use I feel very clean.

What I first loved about this product is of course the amazing packaging. The colour yellow is so bright and decorated with small butterflies shaped the same as the B for Beauty Kitchen. I also love the font used, and I am very picky about fonts. The yellow colour is a perfect match for this product as the main scent is lemon grass and citrus. The bottle is also well designed. The lid clips fastened properly, it doesn’t leak, and the product is easily dispensed from the top hole. The hole isn’t too big or too small so just the right amount of product is released at a time.

The brand is cruelty free and this product states that it is people tested, and never tested on animals. The ingredients used are also all vegan which is great. For the quality of this product, the packing, and the amount included in the bottle; I think that it is very well priced at £7.99 and available at Holland and Barrett.
