Review: Sukin Original Facial Moisturiser

Sukin Original Facial Moisturiser

“Combines aloe vera, horsetail, nettle and burdock to soothe with skin healing rose hip, wheat germ, jojoba and avocado oils to promote healthy skin renewal.”

This is the third Sukin facial moisturiser that I have tried. If you hadn’t already figured this, I really like Sukin for skincare. The products are so affordable, easy to find, cruelty free, vegan, non-toxic and just generally great for everyone. I think their products are especially great for adolescence who are struggling with skin problems like acne, and don’t want to overload the skin with chemicals. I mean, the products are great for everyone, but the low price tag makes them amazing for young people.

Why I bought the product

I bought this product because I have loved other products by Sukin and wanted something lightweight for the Summer weather. My skin is type is combination and can sometimes get quite tight and dry, so I always apply moisturiser even when I don’t wear any make-up. My skin is also prone to break outs so a simple and gentle product is what I was looking for. And of course, I was looking for a product that is crulty free and vegan. Sukin is where I currently turn for vegan skincare as it says 100% vegan in bold on the packaging; making it easier for vegans to find suitable products.

What I love about this product is that the product is very light weight and gentle which is what I was looking for. It soaks very quickly into the skin and doesn’t leave any redness or irritation. There isn’t an over powering scent to the product either. It is very subtle and has slight circus undertones, but after it has been applied the scent doesn’t linger for too long.

I have found that because the product is lightweight and soaks quickly into the skin then it is great for wearing under make-up. For me, I don’t have any irritation with this product and it doesn’t clog my pores. It would be very good for sensitive, acne prone, and young skin types. The product is scented naturally with essential oils which is something I love.

However, I do find that this product isn’t massively moisturising, so I only like to use it for a morning daily moisturiser. For night time, I prefer something more moisturising or oil based. Be aware when using this as a daily moisturiser that it doesn’t include any SPF or sun protection. When I wear this product without make-up I do notice that it leaves a slight film on my skin if I apply too much.

Overall, I would say this is a great lightweight day time moisturiser, but I do prefer the Sukin Super Greens facial moisturiser which you can read about here.

So to recap:
