So for those of you that don’t know, this Dr Bronner’s Castile Soap is a multi purpose product. On the bottle the label lists options for use and these consist of shampoo, hand wash, dog shampoo, washing up liquid, laundry wash, mopping liquid, and the list goes on. I use this product as an in shower body wash which is yet another use and I have the Rose scent which smells like Turkish Delights.
The Castile Soap collection comes in a multitude of scents and also sizes depending on how much you want to use and whether you’re trying it out for the first time or are an avid user. Scents include peppermint, lavender, tea-tree, almond, citrus, unscented, and eucalyptus. What attracted me to this product was the ingredients lists which includes mostly natural oils such as water (which is the first ingredient), coconut oil, olive oil, hemp oil, jojoba oil, and palm kernel oil. The palm kernel oil may cause alarm bells to ring for some people but the ingredient is listed as being certified fair trade.
The actual product itself in the use of a body wash took a few uses to get used to for me. It leaves a squeaky clean feeling which feels like a slight residue and this made me unsure of whether I would enjoy using the product. However, once I had used this product a fair few times I did get used to this feeling and even though and squeaky clean feeling is still there, I do feel properly washed and without the residue.
Another point to add about this product is that it really does last for a long time. I was originally using Original Source as a body wash before hand and found that I was using up the product extremely quickly due to the packaging. But this Castile soap pours easily into my hand and I only need about a teaspoon amount of product. I then rub it in my hands until it lathers and the I apply, a lot really does go a long way and the product does lather up nicely.
